The title of this song refers to the brazilian bossa nova classic The Girl From Ipanema by A.C. Jobim, in purpose to show the difference between women's condition in tales and reality.
In october 2005, while we were touring Brazil, we spent about two weeks in this lousy hotel in the famous Rua Augusta, Sao Paulo. Famous "thanks" to the cheap prostitutes and almost secure "thanks" to the pimps. In this hotel, we used to mix with the prostitutes and even create some respectful threads with one of them. As we're from a small city, we were first amused by this new fancy urban world, and afterwards outraged by the condition and the treatment inflicted on these women (by glorious male who can't manage their impulses).
